A rare offering from Northern India, the estate is in Bihar, a poor area not well known for tea. However, the families making this tea have had great teachers and produce some outstanding handmade teas. This is a particularly complex tea. The initial flavor has a fruit sweetness which is followed by an earthy finish.

Grown in the Bihar region of India, located south of Darjeeling and close to the border with Nepal, the area has traditionally been highly agricultural and suffered from great poverty and crime. The tea estate has created many jobs and elevated the economy of the area. A family run affair, the estate also aims to employ and empower women and to eventually be the first estate run entirely by women!
